Monday

 

Boys In Action  6:30pm - 7:15pm  

Come along to MAYDS weekly free boys only swimming group. Fun sessions including floats, volleyball etc. For ages 8 & up.

Young people must be able to swim  & follow pool rules

Tuesday

 

 Girls only Free Swimming  

Age 8 - P7 6:30 - 7:15pm

S1 - Age 18   7:15pm - 8pm
On a Tuesday evening MAYDS offers free swimming sessions to all girls between the ages of 8-18 years old.  This initiative is to help more young women get active.  At the pool they have fun sessions including aqua aerobics, water sports and discos. Young People must be able to swim and follow pool rules.

Wednesday

6:00 - 10.00pm J.A.M
​The JAM night (JUST ABOUT MUSIC) is music filled evening for the young people.  Run by a trained musician the young people can play in bands, perform at gigs, write and record songs and learn the art of music technology. The centre has its own music equipment including drum kit, guitars, amps etc and also a recording studio for ages 12 & up.

Thursday

 

5:45 - 7:15pm - 5 2 8's in Action

If you are aged 5 to 8 then come to this loud and lively group. This group has been set up specifically for these young people and we carry out lots of different activities like arts and crafts, pool comps, x-box etc..

                                                                                        7:30 - 9pm - P5 & 6 Youth Club

This group is run for P5 & 6.  Here there is a range of activities such as football, arts and crafts, baking, x box, cinema (the centre has its own large screen and projector) etc.​

 

Friday

 

MAYDS Ardrishaig drop-in 5:45 - 7:15pm 

- For P1 - P7's. Come along to another loud and lively group, which will include, arts and crafts, computer games, etc...

 


​​7:30 - 10:00pm - P7, S1 & S2 Drop-In

Friday nights drop in is a transitional group to get them used to the centre and the services we offer prior to them attending high school.

Young people can listen to music using the sound bar and smart tv, they can also use the pool table, x-box, wii and computers.

If you just want to come along and chill, then that's fine too!

 

Street MAYDS

Mayds Youth Workers will be out in the community for Outreach Support or detached youth work.

Staff aim to provide young people with advice and information on staying safe while out, knowing how to access help, 

or advice if it is needed and just a chat to see how MAYDS can provide the services young people are looking for.

                                                                              

 

Saturday

 

1 - 2pm Young Carers Session ( Fun Club!! )

This is a session for anyone that is a Young Carer, there are fun youth activities such as outdoor play, arts and crafts, indoor games, baking, xbox etc. It provides a safe space to to talk, a break away from caring duties and a chance to meet or make new friends! 

 

2pm  - 3:30pm ASN Youth Activities for Session One

This is a specialised group run for young people who have Additional Support Needs. Staff have received regular and specific training​​ to be able to provide the support required for each young person who attends. All activities are planned around the specific needs of each young person.

4pm - 5:30pm ASN Youth Activities for Session Two

This is a specialised group run for young people who have Additional Support Needs. Staff have received regular and specific training​​ to be able to provide the support required for each young person who attends. All activities are planned around the specific needs of each young person.

7-10pm Drop in for S1-S6 

Saturday evening drop-in & internet cafe for anyone S1 & up

Young people can listen to music, use the computers, pool table etc, there's quite often treats such as pizza or hot chocolates available too!

 

Street MAYDS

Trips

Sometimes on Saturday's we carry out trips and outings. These include trips to shows, concerts, Xscape, horse riding, paintballing etc.

Sunday​

 

 

 E.G.G.S This club is run by Enable Scotland and is a social evening for people with or without disabilities, open to all.  As well as information evenings on fire safety etc they also do many activity nights such as bosch, films and parties.

 

 

Outwith these set times MAYDS is open 9-5pm offering support services, careers advice & support and Young Carers Support.

We also run training courses on a regular basis during the day free of charge for young people.
